A new path for interventional nephrology
AT A GLANCE
N-PATH will deliver the first official European Advanced Training Course in Diagnostic and Interventional Nephrology for 40 young nephrologists implementing a multidisciplinary approach in real-life settings and distance learning. The N-PATH Advanced Training Course lasts 2 years and it will be launched in summer 2021. A certificate of attendance will be released for university credits.

Nephrologists need to be actively engaged in developing intensive research to unravel the risk factors and pathophysiologic underpinnings of AKI and CKD. Renal Expert in Molecular Pathology (REMAP) is designed to enhance the approach to renal biopsy by leveraging the latest advancements in histopathology and molecular pathology.

Ultrasound in the hands of the nephrologist represents an extraordinarily effective tool by intervening significantly in most diagnostic pathways and interventional procedures in the nephrology field. Renal Expert in Medical Ultrasound (REMUS) concentrates on describing the fundamental principles of the ultrasound techniques and the application of ultrasound to the main topics of specialized nephrological interest.

Catheter-related problems are a cause of permanent transfer to haemodialysis in up to 20% of all patients. The key for a successful chronic peritoneal dialysis program is to have a number of important elements at disposal such as clinical management of peritoneal dialysis and safe access to the peritoneal cavity. Renal Expert in Peritoneal Dialysis (REPED) focuses on providing skills in peritoneal dialysis management and in surgical technique for correct catheter placement.
